The Autonomous Rapid Transit (ART) is back in Putrajaya! The public trial for this trackless tram will be starting from May 13 until the end of July 2024. Don't miss it everyone! This initiative is part of Malaysia broader effort to explore more efficient and cost-effective public transportation options.

The ART system will run two routes during this trial period. Route 1A operates on weekdays from MRT Putrajaya Sentral, covering areas like Lebuh Wawasan and Persiaran Perdana. Route 2B runs on weekends, extending from MRT Putrajaya Sentral to locations such as IOI Putrajaya. Each route will have three trips daily between 8:30 AM and 5:30 PM​.

This project is not entirely new to Malaysia, as similar ART systems have been tested in Johor and are planned for Kuching Sarawak under the Kuching Urban Transportation System (KUTS) project. Autonomous Rapid Transit is indeed an incredible High-Tech vehicle.
