Uttaron is a homage to the Bard, Rabindranath Tagore on his birthday by students and teachers of Maheshtala College. In these critical days of lockdown following the COVID pandemic, the relevance of Tagore is sought through his different works - his poems, songs, doodles and the works inspired by him. Now, more than ever, it seems the message of resurrection of the self after annihilation, of rising after the destruction seems more significant. This modest attempt is our homage to his fond memory, is a token of love for the world-poet who is omnipresent in our daily life, our joy and woe, in our defeat and our victories - in life, in love, in disease, in death and beyond the boundaries of time in the hallowed realm of timelessness.
