Just in case you have missed watching our previous BTS episode Journey from Delhi to Tanakpur. You may check the video on the below link.
Link -
Hari Indira Homestay - We started our day in the Morning at our Homestay in Lohaghat. We stayed here for 2 Nights, overall the stay was good at this Homestay.

Tariff - Rs 3000 for double occupancy for May Month

Breakfast at Homestay - After this, we had our breakfast at the Homestay. We had “Gehat Dal Paratha, Bhaang ki Chatni & Kumauni Raita in the breakfast.

Tiffin Top - On the way to Advaita ashram we stopped at the “Tiffin Top” & experienced the beautiful view from here.

Advaita Ashram - After this, we reached the Advaita Ashram, This Ashram was built in 1899 and it is said that Swami Vivekananda ji stayed there for a few days.

Advait Ashram Timings - 9:00 am - 11:30 am
1:00 pm - 6:00 pm

We got a little late. Ashram is closed from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm.

We explored the surroundings of the Advaita Ashram, and we found there the Mayawati Dairy, the Meditation point of Swami Swarupananda ( Disciple of Vivekananda Ji ) & also there is a Mayawati Charitable Hospital for the locals of the village.

Koli Dhek Lake - On the way to Lohagat, 2 km before Lohaghat market we visited the “Koli Dhek Lake”, It is the top tourist destination for Lohaghat & Champawat.

Lunch at Homestay - After this we back to our homestay for our Lunch. We had the Local food for lunch - Jaula, Pahadi Pyaz ki Sabzi, Jholi & the Bhatiya.

Overall we enjoyed the local food at our Homestay.

Banasur Fort - After lunch we visited the Banasur Fort, It is a 2 km trek to go up there to the Fort. The view from the fort was really amazing & pleasing to the eye from here we can see the clear view of Lohaghat, & Champawat.

Banasur Fort needs some maintenance, I am sure this place can be turned out to a beautiful Tourist attraction here in Champawat.

Tea & Bunkatki - After this, we travelled around 5 km to have some famous “Bun Katki” of Ghor Chaura. We had the Bun Katki & the tea here.

After this we ended our day & also ended our Uttrakhand tour here because of the Jungle fire thing in the Pithoragarh & Munsiyari region.
