Sanchi is a world heritage site situated at a distance of 50 km from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. In this video, we explored the Udaigiri Caves, & the Sanchi Stupa and learnt about the history of these historical monuments of India.

Hotel in Udaigiri - We started our day in the morning at our Hotel in Udaigiri “Hotel Jungle Resort” which is an MP tourism property. Overall the Hotel Ambiance & surroundings were great.
We did this video in collaboration with MP tourism, we got hotel room on complimentary basis, rest all costs were borne by us.

Tariff - 4,050 on Double Occupancy for the May Month.

Udaigiri Caves - We travelled around 3 km from our Hotel & reached to visit the “Udaigiri Caves”. Mr Ranjeet was our Tour guide who was going to visit us in the Caves.

Udaigiri Caves have a remarkable collection of sculptures that were carved into the rocks around the 4th and 5th centuries AD by the “Chandragupta Vikramaditya”. Udayagiri Caves complex consists of twenty caves, of which one is dedicated to Jainism and Hinduism.

Overall the experience was great to visit the “Udaigiri Caves”. Learned so much about the old sculptures. If you are visiting the Udaigiri Caves you should must do the guided tour here.

Best Time to Visit Udaigiri - October to Mid-March

Sanchi Stupa - After this, we visited the “UNESCO World Heritage Site” of Sanchi - “Sanchi Stupa” & met here our guide Mr Rakesh Ji tour guide of Sanchi.

Sanchi Stupa is one of the oldest Buddhist monuments in the country and the largest stupa at the site. Sanchi Stupa was built in the 3rd Century BC by the Mauryan Emperor Ashoka & it’s believed to house the ashes of the Buddha.

The complex is believed to have served as a primary educational institute for Ashoka's children- Mahendra and Sanghmitra, who went on to spread the words of peace & harmony from Sanchi.

Entry Tickets - Rs 40 Per Person

Tropic of Cancer - On the way to Bhopal we stopped at the “Tropic of Cancer” Point.

Bhopal - We reached Bhopal in the evening & met there Mr Sheo Shekhar Shukla Ji the Principal Secretary of Tourism & Culture Madhya Pradesh & learnt about Tourism diversity in Madhya Pradesh.
