Come Down In Time is featured on Elton John's third album Tumbleweed Connection (1970). The song is one of Elton John's more jazzier tunes, and was originally recorded for Elton John's second album titled Elton John.

The song has been played occasionally starting in the early seventies. The song was part of the set during the 1992/1993 tour as well as the 1995 tour. It has then been performed solo quite a bit in the late 1990's and occasionally with band, orchestra, and solo during the 2000's. This performance is inspired by the versions from the tour with Ray Cooper in the fall of 2009.
