This past January, arguably the greatest college football coach of all time retired from coaching, Nick Saban. Saban has won 7 National Championships. One with LSU and Six with Alabama! He has also won 11 SEC Championships throughout his career. Saban retiring has already turned college football upside down and will continue to do so in the following years. I wanted to take a deep dive into Nick Saban’s life and see where he came from and just how he became the ultimate program builder.

This is going to be part one of a three-part series, chronologically going through Nick Saban’s career in football. For part one, I will be sharing Saban’s playing days, from his Pop Warner team to his days at Kent State. From there I will go into his early coaching career. In part two, I will go into more detail about his journey as a coach from being an Assistant at Ohio State to winning a National Championship with LSU. For part 3, I plan on making it about his time with the Dolphins and Alabama.

Almost all of the research for this video was done from the below two books. They were honestly both great reads and they have a ton of information about Nick Saban and his career. I didn't know much about Nick Saban before reading these books and they have completely changed the way I look at his career.
