Let’s dive into the steps to create this royal feast!

Recipe: King’s Chicken Soup 🍲

Ingredients:

Chicken (with bones) – 250g
Ginger – 1-inch piece, crushed
Garlic – 5 cloves, crushed
Black pepper – 1 tsp, coarsely ground
Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves – a sprig
Green chilies – 2, slit
Coriander leaves – for garnish
Salt – to taste
Water – 3 cups
Instructions:

Marinate the Chicken: Start by marinating the chicken pieces with turmeric, salt, and a pinch of black pepper. Let it rest for 10 minutes.
Prepare the Base: In a large pot, heat oil and add crushed ginger, garlic, green chilies, and curry leaves. Sauté until fragrant.
Cook the Chicken: Add the marinated chicken to the pot and sauté until it’s lightly browned.
Simmer the Soup: Pour in 3 cups of water, bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for 20-25 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
Garnish and Serve: Garnish with fresh coriander leaves. Serve hot as a comforting, nourishing soup.
Recipe: Regal Pepper Chicken 🌶️

Ingredients:

Remaining chicken from the King’s Chicken Soup
Additional chicken (optional) – 250g
Black pepper – 2 tsp, coarsely ground
Fennel seeds – 1 tsp
Onions – 2, finely chopped
Tomatoes – 2, chopped
Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
Red chili powder – 1 tsp
Coriander powder – 1 tbsp
Garam masala – 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves – a sprig
Salt – to taste
Oil – 2 tbsp
Instructions:

Prepare the Spice Mix: Dry roast black pepper and fennel seeds in a pan for a minute. Grind them into a coarse powder.
Sauté Onions: In a large pan, heat oil and sauté the finely chopped onions until they turn golden brown.
Add the Tomatoes and Paste: Add the ginger-garlic paste and chopped tomatoes to the pan. Cook until the tomatoes become soft and mushy.
Use the Soup Chicken: Add the remaining chicken pieces from the King’s Chicken Soup to the pan along with turmeric, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Cook until the chicken absorbs all the spices and begins to brown slightly.
Incorporate the Spice Mix: Add the ground pepper-fennel mixture and garam masala. Stir well and cook until the chicken is fully cooked and the gravy thickens.
