This time, I walked through the shopping street in Kikonai Town, Hokkaido, Japan.
Kikonai is a town with a population of about 3,700, facing the Tsugaru Straits.
Although it is a small town, there is a station for the Hokkaido Shinkansen and the Donan Isaribi Railway, and last year the Hakodate-Esashi Expressway IC opened, so transportation access is very good.
The shooting starts in front of the station.
There is a roadside station ``Misogi no Sato Kikonai'' in front of the station.
This roadside station is very popular, and every year it ranks high in Hokkaido's roadside station rankings.
Before the Hokkaido Shinkansen opened, many shops lined up on this street in front of the station, but after the redevelopment, there were fewer shops.
It's a fishing town, but two sushi restaurants closed, and now there's only one.
It is also a production area for Hakodate beef, but I was a little disappointed that there were no restaurants where you could eat it.
If you go straight to Station Street, you can go to the coast, so I personally think it would be nice to have a cafe that makes use of the scenery.
I felt that this city has the potential to further develop in the future, as it has good transportation access, an abundance of ingredients, and popular facilities.
