Celebrate the joyous festival of Onam with us as we reveal the secret to making Ela Ada, a traditional sweet treat that's a highlight of the Onam Sadhya feast. In this video, we’ll show you how to prepare these delicious Ela Ada recipe using Saffola Oats.

Ingredients
For Oats Mix
1 cup Saffola oats
1 cup rice flour
3/4 tsp salt
1 tsp ghee
Hot water ( as required)

For Jaggery and coconut mix
2 cups black jaggery
1 cup water
2 cups Grated coconuts
3 to 4 cardamoms

Method
Dry roast oats on low flame. When done, grind this to fine powder.
Mix oats powder along with rice flour, salt and ghee. Knead this to dough by adding enough hot water ( as seen in the video ) Keep this aside with lid covered for 15 minutes

For coconut jaggery mix
In a pan melt jaggery with water. Once it reaches semi thick consistency, sieve this and keep it aside.
Then in a pan add coconut and add melted jaggery. Boil until the mix is thick enough. Then add crushed cardamom and mix well. Keep this aside

Ela Ada making
Cut banana leaves into rectangle pieces as shown. Apply ghee on the leaf and then apply a thin layer of oats mix on the leaf. If dough sticks on hand apply water ( as seen in the video)
On half side of the spread dough, add coconut jaggery mix. Then fold the leaves in half. Repeat for the rest of the dough.
Steam cook for 15 minutes. The Saffola Oats Ela Ada is ready. Transfer to a plate and serve
