I'd visited Train Street the day before, as part of the Hanoi City Motorbike Tour, but had not the opportunity to see the passing train. So it was back to the destination for a bit of trainspotting.

Whilst there one can't help but notice how perfectly fitted café society is to the Vietnamese way of life. It's extraordinary watching locals go about there everyday activities oblivious to the tracks that cut through their homes.

The locomotive arrives, and it is an ominous presence careering through the narrow alley of this quaint village. And yet, when it disappears again into the distant past, life for the locals resumes it's normal daily routine, as if nothing happened...
