In this video, I’m fishing for sea-run cutthroat trout using an interesting style of dry fly – the Titanic. For more information about this series of flies you can go here: https://www.amazingflies.com/
I’ve been tying a basic, stripped-down version of this fly, and in the second part of the video, I give a tutorial on how to tie it. Here’s the materials list:
Hook: Daiichi 2546 or Tiemco TMC811s size 6
Thread: white 140 denier or 6/0
Hull and body: 2mm Wapsi fly-foam
Tail: a sparse bunch of Fish Skull faux bucktail in white, topped with Hareline Baitfish Emulator in pearl, plus a couple of strands of silver Krystal Flash along each side.
