TAURUS DEBATE: Federal government sticks to no despite Ukraine demand
The Taurus debate about the delivery of long-range weapons to Ukraine has flared up again in Germany. Despite renewed calls from Ukrainian President Selenskyj for arms deliveries, the German government is sticking to its no. Professor Carlo Masala from the Bundeswehr University in Munich assumes that there will be no Taurus delivery, as a majority of the German population is against it. The election campaign is also influencing the decision. The SPD is struggling with poor poll ratings, both in Brandenburg and nationwide.
