Just like almost any other Disney movie remake, Disney has committed some major offenses to us long-time fans, and this time, it's the 2017 Beauty and the Beast Remake. While there are many atrocities in this remake, I believe that none are worse than misrepresenting the MAIN LEAD heroine, Belle. Belle is a geek. She's a nerd, and we love her for it! She's unafraid to shout from the rooftops the adorkable things she enjoys. She's one of Disney's best examples of an escapist, and she is SO relatable! It's almost like both Disney and Emma Watson both conspired to butcher that iconic aspect of her personality, causing this reformed Belle to leave A LOT left to be desired from fans of the original film. Let's have a discussion and review how this beautiful rose of a heroine became wilted!
