All town participates in preparation for the most important Christian celebration – Risen of Jesus Christ. Curios part of this particular procession is that statue bearers run with this huge platform. Especially up the hill streets of Senglea (Isla). It is a memento of times of oppression by British government. They restricted time given for procession so in order to visit all town. So put your Sunday's best clothes, secure a Figgola (special lamb shape cake for Easter time) and head for Three Cities. It all stars with brass band, then service, following by walking out statue. Children love it due to constant supply of sweets from parents and grannies. All town takes part – woman and children preparing confetti and decoration in churches, man carrying platform.
