Ube Bars
It is a baked bread and a classic Filipino snack that is coated with Ube syrup and desiccated coconut. When you miss being a child, this is one of the best thing you can throwback. Indeed it can bring back good memories of past. You can share this mouthwatering snack with your family and friends. And you can make this as a business too. This snack is very easy to make but we will make it easier for the people who doesn't have an oven. Yes we will cook this in a stove top using a pan, but if you have an oven you can still bake this recipe.
ingredients:
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup powdered milk
1/2 cup water(+1/8 cup if needed)
1/2 cup margarine/butter, unsalted(softened at room temp.)

Ube Syrup/coating:
3/4 cup evaporated milk
3/4 cup white sugar
2 tsp ube flavor
1 tsp purple/violet food color
200g desiccated coconut(more if needed)
