At this stage of our Alaska trip I discovered I was not going to have enough storage on my laptop to download GoPro videos at the rate I started recording video. As a result, this video includes more pictures and less video. The good news is that I was able to purchase an external hard drive when we got to Anchorage.

I had no intention of posting videos on YouTube when we started the trip. However, at the end of the trip, I felt this was the best way to share with the rest of our RV Fantasy Tours group as well as other fellow RV travelers.

In this episode, we reach the Yukon as we arrive at Watson Lake on June 18th and check out the infamous Sign Post Forest. The forest includes over 80,000 signs, posted on rows and rows of wooden posts, by people from all over the world. Our friends, Guy and Jesse, surprised us by making a sign designed specifically for us to post on our trip. Guy and Jesse are both extraordinary craftsmen when it comes to woodworking.

We also were excited to visit the Sign Post Forest to take on the challenge of finding the KYD sign. Lynn and I were first inspired about RVing after watching Marc and Tricia (Trish) Leach and their family on their KYD YouTube channel. Their videos are very well done. Verified by the thousands of followers they have. In this video you'll see that we followed the clues in their video and were successful at finding the KYD sign.

Here's the link to KYD Episode 112 where they visit Watson Lake and hang their KYD sign:

After Watson Lake we make our way to Whitehorse. At his stop we paid the highest price for diesel fuel since we entered Canada, $8.80/gal.

In Whitehorse we toured the SS Klondike which is a huge sternwheeler which was used to transport freight on the Yukon River between Whitehorse and Dawson City. Unfortunately we were not able to tour the inside of the ship because it was being refurbished.

Our group learned a lot about the Iditarod and sled dogs at the Muk Tuk Sled Dog Kennel. We were very fortunate to listen to a private presentation by the owner of the kennel followed by a delicious lunch for our entire group. These sled dogs are amazing athletes!

As we head to our next destination (Dawson City) we stop at a landmark along the way called Five Finger Rapid. The mosquitos were very thick as we walked the short trail through the woods to get to the Yukon River for a close look.

My next video will include highlights of our unforgettable and eventful stop in Dawson City. This video concludes with a brief preview of the shenanigans that took place.

Thanks for watching!
