Taking a detailed look at the workings and components of this amazing Steam Roller from Mamod.
After a number of year sitting, some rubber seals have perished, so we are taking a look at the service kit for this model and installing new washers, rubber seals and a new drive band.
This is the SR1a Model, released in 1972.

Service kit includes:
-1 new drive band
-1 rubber seal for water level plug
-2 rubber seals for pressure release valve
-2 aluminium washers and a rubber seal for the whistle

Corrections:
The drive mechanism is a slider crank mechanisms, with a rotating crank and crankshaft, not a cam and camshaft as quoted in the video.
