Doctors of Nigeria, an episode on the TV Series from NOVA, premiered on January 6, 1981, before being subsequently released on VHS cassette tapes.

The focus is on traditional medicine in Nigeria, particularly southwestern and Eastern Nigeria. In a country where poverty is high, and there are relatively few western medicine amenities available, most people utilize the help of traditional and herbal medicine. To what degree is this practice safe and or a worthy rival to western medicine?
