This is my honest opinion of the Etoolcity's Automatic Vacuum Switch that I use for my shop vac when using my table saw, sanders, and drill. If you're on the fence wether or not to buy one of these. Buy one! It's a game changer for your dust collection. My only complaint is it was a little expensive. I paid full price for this automatic power outlet switch on Amazon and have no incentive to review this product.

This switch senses electrical current when power tools are turned on and automatically activates the shop vac. It also features a delayed start and stop to prevent circuit overload and tripping the breaker. (This is one of my favorite features of this product.) This power outlet is a great addition for the workshop. This simple woodworking tool will take your dust collection to the next level and help keep a cleaner workshop while using the table saw and other dust creating tools. I use it connected to a downdraft table while sanding, or when a vacuum hose is directly connected to my orbital sander. I also connect this automatic switch up to my plug in drill to turn on the shop vac when drilling pocket holes.

If you plug an extension cord in with a splitter, then you can have multiple tools triggering the shop vacuum at the same time! Okay, I'm done rambling. :)
