I actually did voiceovers for two videos, but the one that was supposed to go out before this the sound was damaged, so I've had to swap them, I don't think it makes a diff with these two lol!

The kids love porridge, I hate making porridge in below 0 temps lol, so I wanted to make them porridge they could make themselves and they love to make it as a snack on a cold afternoon as well! win win.

The basic ratios are as follows, but of course, flavours, sweetness and amount of milk powder is to your taste, I will keep on trying new flavours and maybe do a pdf up with all the flavour variations we try!

per 600g of instant oats - I grind rolled oats in my Thermomix
100-150g of sugar - to taste, 150 is definitely a bit sweeter than I like, but I am starting higher for the kids and pulling it back as I go, I tend to just use brown sugar in all because I like the flavour.
150-200g milk powder - I use coconut milk powder from Hello Pure, the lower end would probably be fine for cows milk powder, the coconut milk powder has a lighter taste to it I find!
40-50g each of Chocolate Peanut butter Powder and ground up banana chips for the choc banana
40-50g each of the plain Peanut Butter Powder and Ground up freeze dried/dehydrated berries for the PB&J
Higher point of milk powder and 10-20g of cinnamon for Brown Sugar/Cinnamon!

I am considering soaking some plain oats overnight and mixing up a batch of the sugar/flavour and they can just put a tablespoon on soaked oats with boiling water, seeing what the texture is like, but as I said in the video, I find having things premade and set up means less wastage and better portion control :)
