Learn how to make a traditional Japanese dish, nishime!

Ingredients:

2 packages of nishime konbu (seaweed)
*Soak in water for 2-3 hours to soften.
2 lotus roots (peeled and sliced)
5-6 dasheens (peeled and cubed)
9-10 shiitake mushrooms (soften and cut into cubes)
2 cans takenoko
5-6 medium carrots
1 block of yam cake (konnyaku)
1 package of fried tofu (aburage)
3 lb of chicken (skinned and cut into small pieces)

Sauce:
1/2 C. brown sugar
1- 1 1/4 C. shoyu
Shiitake mushroom water
Seaweed (konbu) water
*These are to taste, so you can add a little more or less*
