The island of Hvar is a popular tourist destination in Croatia. It has the most sunlight hours (2700 hours per year), making it the sunniest island in the entire Europe.
A famous beach near the town of Hvar is “Dubovica” beach, located in a dreamlike bay, as beautiful and unique as if it were straight out of a travel magazine. Here, the sea is crystal clear, and the picturesque stone house and the cozy beach bar provide a unique atmosphere. This beach can be reached by boat or by car from the main road to Hvar. There are two small parking spots close to the main road. You can reach the beach by several rather steep footpaths, so be sure to wear closed shoes and walk carefully. It will only take 15 minutes to walk down to the beach from the car parking spot. But the short hike is worth the effort, this nature jewel is definitely one of the best beaches on the island and probably one of the most beautiful beaches in Croatia. Those who enjoy snorkeling will have unique experiences, discovering the fascinating underwater world. A restaurant and a cozy beach bar are available, which offers refreshing drinks and cocktails during the day. There is some shade under the trees at the back, but you’d need to come early to secure your spot. There’s no sun bed or umbrella rental, so we recommend you to bring your own shade.

Enjoy the untouched beauty of “Dubovica” beach on Hvar Island!
