In this first of our Perspectives series on artists featured at Pulse's 2016 Contemporary Art Fair, we meet painter Jean-Pierre Roy, whose latest work is a convergence between his high art aspirations and his early visual memory. Influenced by sci-fi and pop iconography, science, and psychology, Roy explores human perception beyond the senses, interested in depicting people who are caught between two kinds of "worlds": one they perceive as reality, and another that that seems just beyond their reach.
