What happens when a group of 12 primary schools partner with a University to form a ‘Creativity Collaborative’ to foster teaching for creativity across the school curriculum? I will share our experiences from a three year project, funded by Arts Council England, that is exploring the context, knowledge, agency, pedagogies and leadership needed for creativity to take root and flourish in our schools. The path has not always been smooth, but ultimately has led to teachers with a deep understanding of how to foster creativity, an inclusive approach to education and engaged children who have learned how to be creative.
