Bana is the latest gorilla to arrive at Ape Action Africa. She was found alone in the forest by hunters who tied her up and beat her. No-one knows why she was alone or where her family group had gone. The chances of her surviving if we released her were remote, so the decision was made to take her to our sanctuary in Mefou National Park, home to 17 other young gorillas. This is her first few days with Ape Action Africa.
