Ljubljana is the capital and largest city of Slovenia, located at the midpoint of the country. The city features the Ljubljanica River flowing through its center. Ljubljana has a population of nearly 300.000 people and is known for its university as well as green spaces, including Tivoli Park. Ljubljana can be visited easily from Trieste and other cities like Zagreb.

We are starting our tour at the Ljubljana Castle where we ended another tour (    • Walking in LJUBLJANA / Slovenia 🇸🇮- C...   ). The Ljubljana castle, perched on a hill above the old town, dates back as far as to the 11th century. We walk downhill to the city. There, the city's architecture displays influences from different periods.

Our tour follows along the river and also throughout new parts of the city center until we end our walk at the national house (Narodni dom).notably those designed by architect Jože Plečnik. Ljubljana has a population of approximately 295,000.
