Oven turned off while baking banana bread, due to a power cut. I left the cake in the oven which had been in there for about 10-15 minutes before the power went out.

I did not notice exactly when the power went out because we have a solar system that automatically switches when there isn't any electricity but it was around 10-15 minutes. The solar system works for everything else except the oven. I may change the oven to gas later on.

I decided to leave it in the oven and then wait for it to come. When the electricity cam back on I left it to bake and then removed it. I left it in the cake pan for a few minutes and then took it out. For the first time in a very long time the cake stuck and I gently nudged it out.

I left it to cool completely and then cut it and noticed that even thought the texture was ok, it was a lot different to the usual fluffy and bouncy one. So i can sill be saved but I guess it depends on your oven but it is worth trying.
