This series of "Hungry Brit Abroad Kelantan" is back, and today we are at Yati Ayam Percik in Kota Bharu, Kelantan.

Ayam Percik is a chicken dish that comprises of BBQ-ed chicken cooked in a creamy and sweet marinade sauce. It's famous throughout Malaysia as a staple for "breaking fast" during the fasting month of Ramadan. However in the state of Kelantan it is enjoyed equally throughout the year.

In Kelantan, Ayam Percik is usually enjoyed when eaten alongside "nasi kerabu" or plain white rice. However it's so tasty it can be eaten on its own which the chicken and sauce.

At Yati Ayam Percik they have a whole selection of foods from ikan (fish) percik, BBQ-ed beef, amb and beef tongue.
