This is a video of a floor refinishing, the color is Classic Grey and my intention was to make it look rustic and not uniform which turned out good. I did this project on my own in my own office just to show the steps we go through to refinish a floor. It is much more involved than some would think and skipping steps in a refinishing will ruin the final outcome only to find the errors when stain and finish go on, that is when they truly show. I used a German belt sander called Lagler Hummel and a Clarke Super 7 edger, I then buffed the floor with a multidisc adapter for a buffer to blend the sanding together and further level the floor for a very flat finish. I then used a lambswool mop to put on the stain and then went over it with a paint pad to make it even but not too even because I wanted a bit of rustic feel to it. I did a coat of Bona Mega with a microfiber roller and then buffed with a fine grit to make it super smooth and then followed up with a T-bar applicator for the final coat for maximum smoothness. I did 2 coat in order to have the real feel of the grain, we normally do 3 but I was going for a raw look. If you have any questions please let me know.
