This video shows how we refinish a hardwood floor in elapse time. We use what is known as a dust free system, we still cover some things up that maybe sensitive or harder to clean but as you can see the dust is very low. Process:
Rough sanding 40 grit with drum sander
Rough sanding 40 with edger
Filling
Fine sanding with edger 80 grit
Fine sanding 80 with drum sander
DA palm sand with 100
DA Buffer with 120 grit with Bona Power Drive
Water pop (we use denatured alcohol only, no mixes)
Vacuum
Duraseal Stain (custom mix)
1st coat
Buff
2nd coat
Shoe molding
Caulk
Buff
Final coat with t-bar applicator

*This is our process for this room, we understand others do it differently. There are multiple ways and methods to do any trade we just found this to be our best method for this application.
