I go through step by step instructions on how to install an outdoor flush mount light fixture. This light fixture is a Westinghouse Flush Mount light in the common lantern style. It only costs $23 at Home Depot so it is a good budget porch light.
Before you install it on an outside porch or ceiling, you have to assemble the glass panels into the frame correctly. It is not obvious on how to do this, and the instructions are not that clear. I show how to correctly install the glass panels into the lantern light frame.
My old exterior light fixture was made out of metal and was slightly rusted and the glass was cracked. The frame of the Westinghouse flush mount light is made of plastic and the glass panels are real frosted glass.
