This one is as rare an opportunity as I'll ever get. This time, I've got our only Commander (on loan from Green Lane) on an empty run from Canning Road Depot, Southport to Islington, Crosby. This particular bus rarely sees action beyond Southport and Formby so its an extremely rare opportunity for it to end up on 47s. It also gives me the opportunity to give it some welly on the Formby Bypass too. It doesn't offer much in terms of revs or kickdown but it's deceptively quick. I did have some issues with the gearbox initially, hence the unusual slipping and random high revs but it seemed to sort itself out in no time.
