This clip shows a brand new travisher from The Windsor Workshop. The tool is then demonstrated on a piece of elm to simulate a Windsor chair seat. The tool is used across the grain, and without changing the setting of the blade, large quantities of wood can be removed quickly and a fine finish can be achieved. The blade is hand-forged by Ben Orford from O1 tool steel. This tool is so effective there is no need to use a scorp/inshave. This tool should be used directly after an adze or Arbortech.
