This has been a bucket list hike for me for some time now. A massive 12+ mile hike in the mountains of Eastern San Diego County, to the summit of El Cajon Mountain, also called El Capitan! This hike is considered by many to be one of the hardest, if not the hardest of all, in San Diego! I hiked this trail on Tuesday, Jan 25th, all by myself. I underwent prep and training to do this hike, which is a must if you want to do it. The views are 100 percent worth it!
