Potato Chip Rock via Mt. Woodson is San Diego's most popular hike. Offering stunning panoramic views, this 7.6 mile out-and-back trail culminates at the summit of Mount Woodson. Just below the summit lies Potato Chip Rock; a granite protrusion that offers hikers a photo op that looks quite dangerous when taken from the right angle, but in actuality, is perfectly safe.
