Sleepaway Camp is a 1983 cult classic horror movie that is usually lumped in with some of the worst examples of transphobic horror media, some would say for good reason. Sleepaway Camp (especially its ending) has a negative reputation which far proceeds it, but I think it's time we reclaim Sleepaway Camp for the LGBTQ masterpiece it actually is. In this video, I take a good look at Sleepaway Camp through a queer lens, attempting to reclaim the entire movie. Hope you all enjoy!
