Attend the Grand Sumo tournament in Tokyo, Japan, learn the history, rules, eat sumo wrestler food, and see makes sumo wrestling one of the greatest sports on Earth!

Ryōgoku Kokugikan is on of the most iconic sumo stadiums in the world! Its drum tower has become a symbol of the sport, it is an incredible blend of modern and traditional and the neighborhood around it has fully embraced it's sumo image, from sumo themed restaurants selling chanko nambe (sumo hot pot), to sumo vending machines, sumo shrines, sumo stables (basically sumo hype houses), and sumo statues all over the neighborhood!

We attend the grand sumo tournament learning the rules, origins and history as we go! We take a break to eat Chanko Nambe (what the sumos eat) at Tomoegata Chanko, visit Tokitsukaze-beya sumo stable, and visit the Sumo Museum (at the stadium).
