Chris was born in Everett, WA, just north of Seattle, where he resided with his mother, stepfather, two sisters, and one brother. Throughout his childhood, he oscillated between Washington and South Dakota multiple times. At various junctures, Chris and one of his sisters spent a year and a half in foster care.

Chris abandoned high school and commenced working. In his 20s, he fell in love and relocated frequently. At 23, his daughter was born. When she was two years old, Chris and his partner separated, leaving him isolated in their apartment. He attempted to manage by having coworkers move in, but this only exacerbated matters as he began using illicit drugs to cope. Ultimately, he had to vacate the apartment and, after a period of couch surfing, found himself living on the streets.

For a time, his mother permitted him and a new girlfriend to live with her, even accommodating his daughter. However, this arrangement was short-lived, and his daughter was briefly placed in foster care. Chris endeavored to achieve sobriety, but circumstances did not align in his favor, and his daughter went to live full-time with her mother.

Chris has been homeless for the past four years, residing in an RV for a while. He yearns to overcome his addiction, secure stable employment, and reestablish a presence in his daughter's life.

This is part of his story.
