Glen and Allison have a son named Alex who is mentally ill, homeless, and using illegal drugs to cope. They have spent countless hours and dollars searching for him. When they have found him, even as far away as Sacramento, he has not responded as they had hoped.

Now retired, they spend most of their time on missing persons Facebook groups and driving around to different homeless encampments, asking residents if they have seen Alex. They have tried everything they can think of, including involuntary treatment centers and seven different recovery programs.

They are not alone in their journey. Many parents, siblings, and family members have experienced the pain and anguish of a missing loved one. Some have messaged us, hoping we have seen or encountered their loved ones.
