Ingredients: For 1 head of winter grown cabbage, 4 cucumbers, 3L of water


1/2 cups (50g) of barley, 2/3 cups (50g) of red pepper powder
2 onions, 1 pear, 3 Cheongyang chili peppers, 2 red chili peppers
10 cloves of garlic, 2 spoons of solids from ginger syrup or 1 ginger
1 handful of chives, 90g of sea salt, 1L of water for making barley porridge
1/2 teaspoons of saccharin (it adds a little bit of sweetness)
