During our 9 day trip in Glacier National park Montana, we conquered the 15.5 mile loop hike: Pitamakan-Dawson pass! This was a buttkicker but the views were so beautiful and worth it! We hiked this trail on August 13th, 2022.

We reserved 4 boat tickets with the Glacier park boat company prior to our trip since we wanted to shave off the last 3 miles of the loop. One important thing to note when taking the boat ride back - is that the captains will want to see a PHYSICAL boat ticket prior to boarding. Therefore it's important to get your ticket before you start your long hiking journey. We got our ticket the day prior at the ticket office. They don't get the list of names for the next day until late in the afternoon so try to get it the day prior in the afternoon if you're planning to start the hike before 8am like us.

This was our longest and hardest hike of our trip, with us crossing it off our hike list on our 2nd day in the park. Next video coming up: Hidden Lake!
