The Pitamakan Dawson Pass Loop hike is one of the most beautiful hikes in Glacier National Park. It’s the best hike in the Two Medicine area of Glacier National Park. The hike goes through forests, past streams, up switchbacks and over mountain passes. There are incredible views along the high alpine sections.

This hike is rated as difficult for its long length, exposed sections and remoteness. Be prepared for high winds on the passes, making it difficult to keep your footing. Bears frequent this area so walk in groups of 4, bring bear spray and make lots of noise. Bring plenty of water and sunscreen.

It’s ~18.8 miles without the ferry or ~15.9 miles with the ferry.
