Part II of this video tells the rest of the story - the things I was not allowed to talk about until AirVenture 2022, where Aspen Avionics announced the development (in partnership with Garmin) of a digital interface between the Aspen Evolution flight displays and Garmin's GFC 600 autopilot. My airplane (the Bonanza, N70TB) is the testbed for development and certification of this new interface, and it will unlock important features like altitude preselect and IAS preselect between the Aspen PFD and the Garmin autopilot. Errata: At 24:10 in this video, the caption says Max Unruh works for Aspen Avionics. That was an oversight; Max of course works for Garmin (as is evident by the Garmin shirt he is wearing).
