Here's Joy's story:
Place(s) you avoid (may make you feel anxious, dysregulated, shame, etc.):
--Large groups of people anywhere, especially cramped areas. Or being in front of people, talking or the center of attention.

Have you ever asked yourself, "What's wrong with me"? If so, why?
--All the time. Can’t focus, lack of discipline with diet and exercise, consistent exhaustion, lack of motivation and productivity. The list goes on.

What happened to you?
--I don’t think anything happened TO me I guess. I’d say my, mom died 2 years ago tomorrow actually, and since then I’ve just felt lost. Like a midlife crisis ongoing. I’ve been moved for work twice since then as well. Which is good in the end but the instability probably didn’t help. I’ve been in the military for 13 years so I’m sure that isn’t helping my exhaustion. 😅

What early experiences made a major impact on how you experience relationships & interpret the world?

--We moved to Ireland when I was young. My mother was from there. I think that changed my view on many things. I think as I get older I’m starting to search for and see the beauty in the world. I never felt beautiful and so now I seem to search for it and try to create that for others. My childhood was semi-normal I think. My mother was diagnosed with MS when I was young so that was difficult. I have become "the responsible" family member. My dad leans on me a lot to help him make decisions and handle confrontations on his behalf. 🤷🏻‍♀️ maybe that’s a thing. I don’t think my life has been interesting 😂
