Bowman Bay is a small bay on Fidalgo Island, just north of Deception Pass. It's a lovely bay with enough tidal change to make the experience interesting. It is very well protected so even though the currents in the Puget Sound are potentially deadly for unprepared boaters, even the inexperienced can have fun and be safe here. There's even a kayak rental (Anacortes Kayak Tours) right at the parking lot, although we brought our own kayaks, of course.
