The White Mountain is located at the junction of three governorates: Muscat Governorate, North Sharqia Governorate and South Eastern Province of Oman. Our tour was in the part of Qaryat Governorate of Muscat Governorate. The White Mountain is about 150 km from Muscat.
We started our journey by gathering in Buashir and then going to the state of Qaryat to reach Wadi Al Arabeen for a distance of 110 km and need an hour and 5 minutes, then enter an unpaved road in the middle of the mountains and remote villages for about 40 km until we reached the village of Hail Makarim and need an hour and 22 minutes It's difficult to track and needs a SUV.
We stopped the cars in the village of Hail al-Makarem and began to pack the bags and gear. We started walking on foot to climb the mountain for 2 km up to the top of the mountain and the beautiful view of the valley dam narrow at 1524 meters above sea level, and the temperature at night to 15 degrees Celsius.
