Sadly, EURO 2020 is now in the rearview. But let's talk about (and inevitably disagree upon) some of the best individual performances from the tournament!

GK: Gianluigi Donnarumma
- Made big save after big save, particularly against Spain. Saved five penalties in nine attempts. +1.5 PSxG was best of any knockout round keeper besides Courtois. One of the most in form keepers in the world at the moment. Allowed Italy to be comfortable sending numbers forward.
LB: Luke Shaw
- Tough between him and Maehle. Performance in the final cemented it. Got the goal, but was fantastic throughout. Also amassed three assists and created the most chances of anyone in the England team.
CB: Georgio Chiellini
- In a class of his own this tournament. The reason why Italy won in the final. Lots of concerns with this back line at first. Chiellini made them look silly.
CB: Aymeric Laporte
- Mega involved in Spain's tactics both out of possession and in possession. Drove into midfield with the ball - most progressive player at the EUROs by a wide margin. Strong presence in the air. Fit into the Spanish defense like a glove.
RB: Kyle Walker
- Another part of that fantastic England defense that conceded once from open play all tournament. Deployed as a right back or a right centre back, excelled at both. So consistent, comfortable, and versatile. Slotted into defense well and got involved in the attack when foraying forward.
CM: Jorginho
- Most important piece of Italy's midfield. Most interceptions by a player at a EURO ever. So composed and consistent. Was impossible to take off the ball. Dictated play for Italy in the deep-lying playmaker role.
CM: Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg
- The metronome to a Denmark side that reached the semifinal. Did everything for this side. Big body in midfield that got into passing lanes and won the ball back. Directed play when Denmark were in possession. Led team in assists, key passes, GCA, SCA, interceptions. A true midfielder and a complete performance for Denmark at this summer's EUROs.
CM: Pedri
- 18 years old and bossing midfields. Burdened with the creative responsibility in the Spanish midfield and was up for the task. Fantastic passing range was on full display. Pulled the strings for Spain and won young player of the tournament.
LW: Federico Chiesa
- Gave Italy a boost when he returned to the XI. Direct, pacey, creative dribbler who was the perfect counterpart for Lorenzo Insigne. Scored crucial goals against Austria and Spain in the knockout stage and was Man of the Match against England before being removed through injury.
RW: Raheem Sterling
- Another player who balls out for his country. Similar to Chiesa - direct running, unpredictable dribbling and burning pace. England's only consistent attacking player in the group stage - scored the only two goals. Scored the crucial opener against Germany. Player of the tournament shouts.
ST: Patrik Schick
- Quietly the most consistent striker in the field and the main reason why Czech Republic reached the quarterfinal. Five goals, scored in all but one match (1-0 v England). Gave us one of the goals of the tournament v Scotland on MD1. Buried Netherlands in the R16 and scored against Denmark in QF.
