Ceannabeinne Beach is a beautiful stretch of sand at the northern end of Scotland, in the centre of the most attractive part of the NC500 route - the Durness area. Clean, bright sand, amazing blue water, dramatic cliffs and rocky formations - all make this shoreline one of the most spectacular beaches in Scotland. At the top of it, there is also the most unusual way of appreciating the beauty of this area - the zipline operated by Golden Eagle Zipline company connects cliff faces at both sides of the beach and for £15 you can fly over this magnificent place at 45 mph and feel like a seagull. The Ceannabeinne is divided into two main areas divided by the rocky wall. The eastern side is more flat and more popular, easily accessible from the car park and this is the part where the zipline is located. The western side is more rugged, dotted with rocks, and much more difficult to reach. Still, we consider it more beautiful and scenic. The beach is located near other very popular locations of the northwest part of the North Coast 500 trail: Smoo Cave, Sango Bay, Kyle of Durness or Balnakeil Beach.
