On Thursday June 6th, the Irish Embassy in Buenos Aires launched a mural honoring the legacy of Cecilia Grierson, an Argentine woman of Irish descent who was the first woman in Argentina to gain a medical degree.

The mural was painted in collaboration between Argentine artist Mabel Vicentef and Irish artist Friz, who travelled from Ireland to be part of the project.

The event also counted with the support of the British Cemetery, Graffitimundo, the Cecilia Grierson Foundation and Sinteplast paint.
