At the 2024 St. Patrick’s Day festivities in London, performer and activist Panti Bliss lead the parade as Grand Marshall. It was a celebration that recognised Irish heritage and culture, as well as the contemporary Irish community in all its rich diversity

To mark the occasion, Rory O’Neill, also known as Panti Bliss, sat down with colleagues from Embassy London.

In a wide-ranging discussion, O’Neill also explored the theme of Irish drag performers in Britain, from the days of Danny La Rue through to the modern day and how the respective drag scenes in both countries interacted with and helped to shape one another.
